Jan 18 A new view of God and its effects on well-being

free talk: Sat, Jan 18 @ 11 A.M. in the Reading Room where we will stream in Phillip Hockley’s talk titled, A new view of God and its effects on well-being.

In the early 1990s, a fall that badly injured his spine started a seven-year downward spiral of ill health for Phillip. By 1999, after trying every alternative and spiritual healing method without any cure, he was registered as physically handicapped. Much against his own better judgment, he felt impelled to attend his first ever Christian Science lecture and the result was truly transforming. Not only was he healed, but more importantly, he was healed of his resistance to the message of the Bible, a message telling us of God’s great love for each one of us. We can ALL feel and live divine love, a heavenly love, here and now.

PLACE: CHRISTIAN SCIENCE READING ROOM, 1602 23RD ST, VERO BEACH.

EVENT: LECTURE & LUNCH - BRING YOUR BAG LUNCH - WE’LL BREAK BREAD afterward AND SHARE IDEAS ABOUT THE TOPIC.

Regarding church and the Manual’s place in within it, Eddy writes:

“This church is impartial. Its rules apply not to one member only, but to one and all equally. Of this I am sure, that each Rule and By-law in this Manual will increase the spirituality of him who obeys it, invigorate his capacity to heal the sick, to comfort such as mourn, and to awaken the sinner.”

(My. 230:9)

  • the marginal notes are very helpful in summarizing the key points of each item in the platform.

  • the platform expands on the basic principles underlying Christian Science.

  • understanding these Scientific principles make us better healers.

Let’s come together and share fresh insights and deeper inspiration about the platform.

See you there.
